About the project

The TB-RAM CoE project is centered around creating robotic additive manufacturing demonstration environment to aid in the development of additive manufacturing competences for companies located in Ostrobothnia, as well as for the university staff and students. The project was funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Robotic additive manufacturing is an extension of conventional additive manufacturing, also called 3D printing. With Robotic Additive Manufacturing you leverage the benefits of robotics with 3D printing to create something new and exciting. Using robotics we can work around the layer-by-layer deposition limitation of conventional 3D printers, to create new freeform and non-planar 3D objects which would otherwise be impossible. Using RAM, an entirely new dimension of objects can be manufactured. To learn more, see RAM Platform.
The TB-RAM CoE project is a collaboration between NOVIA UAS, University of Vaasa and VAMK to create this new Robotic Additive Manufacturing environment, and to bring the benefits and expertise to local companies and educators alike. To learn more about the opportunities offered by this new platform, and how it could benefit you and your company or teaching environment, see Contact, Services & Demos.
